Aluminium Vacuum Laminate Cover

The problem it prevents

The cost is not the repair. It is the delay, the travel, the penalty clause and the reputation.

A corroded slideway or a tracked control board is discovered at commissioning, when an engineer is already on site and your customer is already waiting.

Against that, the cover costs almost nothing. This is not a packaging line item. It is insurance on the machine inside it.

What it is

These aluminium foil and metallized laminates give total protection against atmospheric gases and moisture getting in, with very little passing through even at the heat-seal layers. That barrier is what makes them the correct choice for harsh environments.

The vacuum process keeps out water, moisture, air and dust. Vacuum packing also lowers the oxygen inside the cover, which holds back the growth of aerobic bacteria and fungi and stops volatile components evaporating.

The cover can be vacuumed and heat sealed, and the inner layer can carry VCI protection against corrosion of metal surfaces. Six-layer aluminium laminated vacuum bags with nylon and polyester are available for the most demanding jobs.

How we build it

This is the product we have invested the most development into. The six-layer aluminium laminate with nylon and polyester, the VCI inner layer, and the vacuum and heat-seal process are all our own work.

The seal is where barrier covers usually fail, and our seal specification is the reason we can make a total barrier claim honestly. Send us one machine as a trial.
