Generator Protective Cover
Protects the machine and the sale
Built around the bushings and radiators, where loose covers tear
Water sitting on bushings and in radiator fins causes problems that only show up at testing, when the whole project timeline depends on that unit.
A unit that fails its pre-commissioning test does not delay a delivery. It delays a substation.
The bushings are capped separately from the body.
Transformers are heavy, awkwardly shaped, and are often stored outdoors or in unprotected yards before installation. Covers are made to the unit's profile, including the bushings and radiator projections, in materials chosen for the storage time and the exposure expected.
The difficulty is the shape. Bushings and radiators are exactly where a loose cover tears and where water collects. We build the cover around those projections and add reinforcement where crane slings and forklift forks make contact.
Every one of these can be changed for your application, and a sample is supplied for trial fitment before bulk production.
