Can you guarantee every person who handles this bag, anywhere, will earth it correctly every time?
Your risk is not in your own plant. It is downstream. Once the bag leaves, nobody can promise the earthing step will be followed.
For exporters this is the difference between a controlled risk and an uncontrolled one. Type D removes the dependence on the operator completely, because there is no earthing step that can be forgotten.
Type D dissipates static without an earth connection to make.
What it is
A Type D antistatic FIBC carries static charge away without any grounding connection at all. The fabric is engineered to stop the kind of sparking that causes ignition.
Type D is the better choice where bags are handled by more than one party, at sites you do not control, or in processes where a grounding point cannot be guaranteed at every transfer.
