The top layer of cartons is dusty or water-stained and nobody can explain why.
The top face was never covered. Stretch wrap makes people feel the pallet is protected, but it leaves the top open.
Underneath, the bottom layer sits directly on the pallet deck, against moisture, dirt, splinters and nail heads. A surprising amount of damage starts there.
The cheapest part of the pallet, protecting the most exposed face.
What it is
The top sheet is a simple sheet laid over the top of a stacked pallet before it is stretch wrapped. It closes the one gap that stretch wrap always leaves.
The pallet liner is laid on the pallet deck under the load. It stops moisture, dirt, splinters and nail heads from the pallet itself reaching the bottom layer of goods.
